Tūrangawaewae

This week all four guardian groups ventured out for a bush walk to Lucy Moore Park to explore our Tūrangwaewae, our special place. During the exploration the children took photos of things they thought were special to them. These photos are going to be used for our storyboard we are proud to showcase later this term.

C2 Week 6: Action Stations..it's time to present!

As another week passes us by it is time to look back on the new learning experiences that the students have enjoyed...

Throughout this week they have been engaging in very exciting literacy stations such as, the Demolition Play-dough station, the Tea for Tiger story table, the Create a Bug creation station, a texturised fine motor station and many others. All of these stations are designed to invite students to construct and create whilst learning different skills.

Throughout the week many students have begun learning and rehearing different songs and dances for the production! It has been so wonderful to see the students enjoy these dances and work together to learn them!

Finally, the students were also responsible for shining on stage whilst hosting the school assembly! They did an amazing job at not only shining but also performing the sneak peak of our Production Song; The Bear Necessities. They all had big smiles on their faces as they performed and were quickly prepared to move on and congratulate the A.C.T.I.V.E learners for this week! Congratulations to all of our Community 2 award recipients!

It has been another wonderful week of learning but it is time for the students to enjoy being at home with their whanaū.

Can you believe that we are already halfway through Term 1!
