Term 3, Week 2 has already been and gone!

Week 2, Term 3

We hope you all enjoyed week 2 as much as we did! This week was filled with engaging literacy stations, production practice, a pōwhiri for many of the new members to our school community and of course some more exciting learning about sound, light, magnetism and simple machines.

The literacy stations this week were themed around a common love in community 2…dinosaurs. Students enjoyed creating stories, reading stories, designing puppets, and engaging in sensory play in a dinosaur land at the story table.

The whole community has been working hard to progress the development of the production and it has been enjoyable watching the joy of the students as they get to take their time on stage practicing.

The students have been really enjoying engaging with a new science topic each week. The science topics move around and provide students with hands on materials to explore their literacy group’s science topic.

This week has also brought more fun involving numicon! The students are doing a wonderful job consolidating their visual representation of number using numicon.

We are looking forward to another wonderful week of learning! Enjoy your weekend!
